Signed in with the operator role. Everything done here is written to the audit log with your name on it.
A name and a passphrase, so the ground you register stays yours and the people you let onto it can be told apart. Both are kept on the game server, never anywhere else.
To the game server named below, and nowhere else. On a plain http:// address — which is what you get on one machine or a home network — it crosses the wire unencrypted. That is fine between two tabs or two people in one house. It is not safe over the open internet, which needs HTTPS in front of the server.
Do not reuse a passphrase you use anywhere else. This is a game server somebody is running on a desktop, not a bank.
A reference collection of every kind of object this ground can produce. Real museums keep one so a new find can be matched against known types — and here it is also the generator laid open, because each entry is a legal combination of material, form, trait and completeness.
Everything you spend money on in one place: what you look like, what you dig with, who digs beside you, and what it costs to keep the other outfit off your ground.
Tools, rather than hats. There is exactly one thing here and it is the one that matters: below the unconformity every layer is stone, and no amount of shovel will get you into the Jurassic.
People who dig without being told. They are slower than you, they pick their own squares, and what they turn up goes in your bag — in whatever condition they got it out of the ground.
Read-only and anonymous — there is nothing to log into and nothing to authorise. Whoever you let in gets an apprentice with their name on it and an opinion about where it digs. Nobody gets to drive one.
The room types 1, 2 or 3 and the tally moves as they do. Take their answer with Run the winner, or click any card to overrule them — the last word is yours. Every map is cut fresh from a seed and sized for the field that just joined: point A at the green mark, B at the red one.
Everything the run will do, in one place. Nothing below spends a penny unless you say so, and nothing is committed until you open the lobby. Chat joins there, and the room votes on the course once you launch.
Twitch is not wired up yet — this arms the stream and nothing else. No sign-in, no token, nothing to authorise.
A test audience is put on the line automatically while this is in development. Set Fake viewers to zero in the operator console to race with whoever is really in chat.
Everything the race is tuned by. Saved as you move them, and used by the race you are about to start. The same dials are in the operator's console under Difficulty.
Chat's money, the sound board and the dev sandbox. Closes back to this screen.
These take effect while you drag — they do not wait for the flag.
